Graphic Designer

On-Going Contract
40 hours/week
Location: Lansdowne, PA
Hybrid: Onsite Mon-Wed; work from home Thur & Fri
Rate: $30/hr

Our client, a consumer products company that brings fun and trendy products to stores all around the US. They manufacture custom items and source trendy, fun, and best-selling merchandise for any gift store, souvenir shop, and exciting destination.

Job Purpose:

The Graphic Designer works with the rest of the Art Department to complete art requests for product, displays, and packaging.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Search out new trends and images and include those in the design process for appropriate customers.
• Collaborate with the Art Department team members to share new trends and images.
• Search and write original product copy.
• Design products and packaging based on outside customer or internal salesperson requests.
• Create mockups of products and packaging for sales presentations.
• Set up product and packaging files for proofing and submit final proofs.
• Set up product items on dies for production in-house.
• Upload product and packaging files to vendors through FTP sites.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
• Duties and responsibilities may change, and new ones may be added, at any time with or without advanced notice.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in art, commercial art, graphic design, or similar
• 1-2 years’ experience working as a graphic designer
• Preference for someone who has worked in a printing/production-focused company
• Strong work ethic, high level of motivation, willingness to learn quickly
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Advanced graphic design software skills including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
