Job description

Our client, a growing apparel company known for high-quality, stylish products that combine design, comfort, and affordability is looking for a part-time HR Generalist. The position offers hybrid flexibility with two full days required in the Irwindale office.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.
• Generate HR reports to support audits, leadership decision-making, and workforce planning.
• Coordinate interviews, new hire orientations, training sessions, and other HR-related meetings.
• Support recruitment by posting job ads, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and facilitating onboarding.
• Assist with development and rollout of training initiatives; track attendance and gather feedback.
• Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and programs; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Coordinate performance management processes, including review cycles and tracking completion.
• Draft and distribute HR communications and announcements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; update policies as needed.
• Conduct new hire orientations and manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews and final documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance employee strategies.
• Collect and analyze information to recommend HR solutions and courses of action.
• Support manager and employee performance by identifying problems and evaluating potential solutions.
• Complete special projects by clarifying objectives, creating timelines, and conducting research.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years professional HR experience, preferably in corporate or professional services environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with people analytics and data visualization tools.
• Experience with HR systems (e.g., Paylocity) preferred.
• Strong written communication skills, including drafting employee communications.
• Knowledge of California employment law and multi-state HR regulations.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field; HR certification preferred.
• Ability to work in the Irwindale office two full days per week.
