Job description

Our client a portable shade structures and accessories company, is looking to hire an Inside Sales Representative to join their Sales team. The Inside Sales Representative will manage an assigned book of business and drive B2B sales growth by nurturing inbound leads, developing warm opportunities, and building lasting customer relationships. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and offers a strong platform for an ambitious sales professional to grow their career while contributing to a high-performing team.

Details:

  • Location: Norco, CA (Hybrid: Mon/Wed/Thu in office; Tue/Fri WFH after training)
  • Base salary range: $50,000 – $55,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Commission and bonus structure tied to individual sales performance.
  • Hybrid work schedule: Tuesday and Friday work-from-home; Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in-office (after completion of onsite training).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned book of business, maintaining regular contact with existing clients to drive retention, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Handle a mix of hot inbound leads and warm prospects; perform limited outbound cold outreach as needed to expand account penetration.
  • Focus on B2B customers across a range of industries, with strong potential in verticals such as printing, automotive, and rental services.
  • Qualify prospects, understand customer needs, and present appropriate product solutions.
  • Effectively move prospects through the sales funnel and close deals to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Generate accurate quotes, prepare proposals, secure payment, and ensure seamless order processing.
  • Maintain detailed, up-to-date records of all activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and broader sales team to refine sales strategies and share market feedback.
  • Participate in select trade shows and industry events to support lead generation and brand visibility.
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of sales processes and customer experience.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in inside sales or B2B sales, preferably in a product-driven or manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales quotas and KPIs.
  • Strong closing skills with the ability to guide prospects to a decision efficiently.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
  • Competitive, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a hunter mindset and strong sense of ownership.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • CRM experience required; Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows and customer events.
