Luxury Mens Store Manager / General Manager

MUST HAVE LUXURY OR CONTEMPORARY MENS RETAIL EXPERIENCE – NO EXCEPTIONS.

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a luxury menswear boutique in Chicago. This individual will be responsible for driving business performance, leading and developing the team, overseeing daily operations, and delivering an elevated client experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished retail leader who thrives in a high-touch, service-driven environment and is passionate about luxury fashion.
The ideal candidate is a confident and thoughtful leader with strong business acumen, exceptional people management skills, and a proven background in menswear. This person will play a key role in shaping store strategy, maximizing productivity, and ensuring the boutique operates at the highest standard.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead all day-to-day store operations in the Chicago boutique
  • Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing team
  • Create and execute strategies to drive sales growth and business performance
  • Manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize profitability
  • Establish and maintain operational standards, policies, and procedures
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members
  • Support employee development through consistent feedback and performance management
  • Evaluate store operations and implement improvements where needed
  • Prepare reports and updates for senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards
  • Address business challenges proactively, including performance, staffing, and competitive concerns

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Store Manager in luxury menswear
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Experience with planning, budgeting, and business operations
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop talent
  • Problem-solving ability and a strong sense of accountability
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience preferred in retail store management
