We are seeking a freelance Marketing Operations Consultant to support high-impact marketing operations initiatives through hands-on execution, project coordination, and workflow management. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-moving environments, keeps cross-functional teams aligned, and ensures critical marketing programs stay on track.
The Marketing Ops Specialist will oversee day-to-day operational tasks across multiple platforms, maintain timelines, monitor dependencies, and help remove blockers that affect campaign execution and lead flow. This position is centered on delivery, reporting, and coordination rather than long-term strategic ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate marketing operations projects across internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Manage task workflows, timelines, and accountability within project management platforms such as Asana.
- Support website updates, marketing technology improvements, and lead management processes.
- Track advertising spend and compile recurring performance and financial reports.
- Extract monthly and quarterly data to support reporting on expenses, budgets, and ROI.
- Conduct data audits, validate submissions, and maintain clean lead records across systems.
- Assist with lead routing enhancements and marketing automation process improvements.
- Partner with event teams to manage lead capture workflows, campaign syncing, and reporting accuracy.
- Create and maintain documentation, status updates, and communication plans for active initiatives.
- Ensure teams have the assets, requirements, and timelines needed to complete deliverables efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in marketing operations or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage large, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with technical, creative, and digital marketing teams.
- Strong proficiency with project management tools such as Asana or similar platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working in a highly execution-focused contract role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting B2B SaaS marketing organizations.
- Familiarity with marketing automation, CRM platforms, and broader marketing technology ecosystems.
- Experience with lead capture, event marketing workflows, and campaign reporting.
