Position Overview
This Senior Marketing Specialist will join the Optum Financial B2B Marketing team to support employer and payer marketing initiatives across product marketing, integrated marketing, and event programs. This is a hands-on role ideal for a marketing professional who can balance strategy support with high-quality execution across events, content development, and sales enablement materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end execution of employer and payer events, including conferences, sponsorship activations, and executive forums.
- Manage attendee communications, event readiness activities, event materials coordination, and post-event follow-up.
- Track leads, gather post-event feedback, and assist with event ROI reporting.
- Create and develop marketing and sales enablement content such as emails, social posts, event communications, pitch decks, sell sheets, one-pagers, and client-facing resources.
- Design and update presentations, booth graphics, collateral, promotional items, and other marketing assets using PowerPoint, Figma, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Support integrated marketing campaigns across email, social media, thought leadership, and seller-enabled channels.
- Coordinate the review and delivery of marketing materials across Marketing, Product, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Strategy teams.
- Maintain asset libraries, campaign calendars, project trackers, and reporting tools to support ongoing marketing execution.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience supporting B2B marketing programs in a hands-on execution role.
- Strong event execution experience, including planning support, communications, and follow-through.
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to create polished, audience-appropriate marketing content.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills required, with experience producing professional presentations, sales collateral, and event materials.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator.
- Figma experience.
- Background in healthcare, benefits, financial services, or another regulated industry.
- Experience supporting sales enablement, campaign execution, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
