Job Type: long-term W2 contract

Location: Irving, TX – onsite

Compensation: $40-43 per hour

Our large retail client is looking for a merchant onboarding associate to help new restaurant and retail partners successfully join their new platform. In this role, you’ll guide merchants through onboarding, ensure seamless integrations with their aggregator partners, and set them up for long-term success on the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for restaurant merchants during the onboarding process, from initial setup to go-live
  • Manage onboarding workflows across multiple integration partners
  • Q/A – Configure and validate merchant accounts, menus, and item data to ensure accuracy and consistency across platforms
  • Provide clear guidance and support to merchants, including training on system use, troubleshooting integration issues, and answering operational questions
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Partnerships, Product, Technical Integrations, and Support) to resolve merchant challenges and accelerate activation timelines
  • Track onboarding progress, identify bottlenecks, and communicate updates to stakeholders
  • Document processes, share feedback with product/tech teams, and contribute to continuous improvement of onboarding pathways
  • Ensure a smooth transition of merchants from onboarding to account management

Requirements

  • Experience in restaurants, onboarding, account management, or implementation—ideally in marketplace, SaaS, food delivery, or restaurant technology
  • Familiarity with restaurant POS and aggregator systems (Olo, Toast, Otter, Stream, etc.) strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical processes to non-technical audiences
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, product, and technical teams
  • Proficient with CRM and workflow tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Smartsheet, or similar)
