Accountable for all aspects of the assigned retailer business to meet strategic initiatives.
Strategically involve appropriate internal departments and retailer partners to maximize retail sales and meet profit objectives.
Optimize customer retail while managing trade terms to drive gross-to-net gains.
Serve as the main contact for retailer category teams, working with Sales Planning and Sales Operations Managers to meet financial objectives.
Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Demand Planning, and Finance.
Manage the account’s P&L to drive sales and maximize profit.
Drive productivity to lead the market in units and exceed retailer sales per foot goals.
Build strong relationships across retailer teams, beyond the buyer (supply, marketing, PR, digital).
Own promotional planning for each customer, including:
Develop and execute promotional activity with cross-functional teams.
Leverage retailer vehicles and channels to maximize sales and ROI.
Forecast promotional activity and communicate across the organization.
Evaluate promotions to inform future planning.
Manage 3rd Party Merchandisers and In-Store Excellence team to ensure strong execution of seasonal updates.
Lead customer meetings, including presentation development.
Support customer events, including planning and execution (travel required).
Monitor, analyze, and report gross and retail sales data to drive actionable insights.
Manage customer .com business (assortments, creative, promotional opportunities).
Mitigate inventory liabilities by managing deletions and driving root-cause problem solving.
Partner with Sales Planning and Sales Operations Managers to operationalize customer strategies.
Contribute to assortment planning to meet financial and environmental goals.
Assist in preparing monthly inventory and S&OP meetings with cross-functional partners.
Perform other analyses and projects as needed.
Establish partnerships with key accounts.
Align with Sales Planning Manager to achieve retail and gross sales objectives.
Work cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, and E-commerce to identify opportunities.
Collaborate with key accounts on forecasts and best practices to maximize sales while minimizing inventory risk.
Build best-in-class retailer partnerships with category teams to drive sales.
Establish P&L goals.
Enhance financial reporting by customer to enable strategic decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree or related job experience.
5+ years of account management experience.
Experience with Target, Ulta, Amazon, Walmart, or Shoppers Drug Mart is a plus.
Advanced Excel skills (large data management and reporting).
Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and forecasting/scheduling software.
Strong data management and analytical skills.
Proven problem-solving abilities.
