Our client is a mission-driven, culturally inspired fashion brand blending brand based in the Philadelphia area. Since their launch, they’ve served tens of thousands of customers online and are now poised for multi-channel growth. We are seeking a results-oriented, systems-minded, and operationally excellent Operations Director to join their team and help take the brand to the next level.

Position Overview

The Operations Director will play a key leadership role in building and executing the company’s operational and expansion strategy. This person will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations while driving growth initiatives including the launch of 5 retail stores over the next 5 years, expanding into wholesale, and scaling internal systems and teams. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in both strategic and executional capacities and is excited to be part of a dynamic, culturally conscious, and growing fashion company.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Expansion

• Develop and execute operational plans for opening 5 retail stores within 5 years, including location planning, staffing, and systems integration.

• Lead the development and implementation of a wholesale distribution strategy.

• Manage execution of future pop-up events and experiential retail activations. Operations Management

• Oversee warehouse and fulfillment operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

• Lead improvements to warehousing systems, inventory management, and logistics processes.

• Optimize order processing, shipping, and returns workflows for better customer experience and cost-effectiveness.

Team & People Leadership

• Manage and support the Operations Manager and overall operations team including warehouse staff, customer service, and HR.

• Collaborate with HR to scale recruiting, onboarding, and team development efforts as we grow.

• Foster a performance-driven, accountable, and mission-aligned team culture.

Customer Experience & Support

• Ensure exceptional customer service delivery across all channels (e-commerce, retail, events).

• Lead systems and team optimization in customer support and returns management. Process, Systems & KPI Implementation

• Identify and implement tools and systems to improve operational efficiency (e.g. ERP, WMS, CRM).

• Establish, track, and report on key operational KPIs and improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with Finance and Marketing to align operations with sales and growth forecasts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of operational leadership experience, ideally in fashion, apparel, retail, or e-commerce. • Proven success in scaling retail and/or wholesale operations.

• Strong experience in warehouse operations, logistics, systems implementation, and people management.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

• Highly organized, data-driven, and results-oriented.
