Job description

Our client, a global entertainment platform is seeking an experienced Product Manager. This position serves as a critical liaison between marketing stakeholders and product teams responsible for building and enhancing marketing technology platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong product marketing experience, excellent cross-functional communication skills, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable product requirements.

This is an 8 month contract that is onsite in the LA area 5 days a week.

This role is best suited for a strategic and hands-on professional who can manage complex initiatives from concept through validation. You will work closely with marketing leaders, product leadership, and technical teams to ensure that business requirement documents are clearly defined, aligned to stakeholder goals, and implemented effectively. In addition, you will oversee project timelines, coordinate deliverables, and help drive decision-making through market research and competitive analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with marketing and product teams to align business goals with marketing technology solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between marketing stakeholders and technical/product teams building marketing platforms.
  • Translate marketing and business requirements into clear product requirements and implementation plans.
  • Ensure business requirement documents are accurately captured, communicated, and executed by development teams.
  • Coordinate with product leaders and cross-functional partners to drive alignment, communication, and delivery.
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, risks, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
  • Conduct competitive analysis of internal capabilities and third-party marketing technology solutions.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to product leaders and management.
  • Develop validation and QA frameworks for prototypes and launched solutions to confirm business needs are being met.
  • Support ongoing process improvement initiatives to maximize marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in product management, product marketing, marketing operations, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of product marketing concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with business, marketing, product, and technical teams.
  • Ability to create, manage, and refine business requirements and project documentation.
  • Experience with project management, stakeholder communication, and executive presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating market solutions and competitive offerings.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in fast-paced, highly matrixed environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting media, streaming, entertainment, or digital marketing organizations.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology platforms, campaign systems, and validation/QA processes.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution.
  • Comfort presenting recommendations to senior leadership and driving consensus among diverse stakeholders.
