Job description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality & Compliance Coordinator to support them on a freelance basis. This role is designed to support critical quality assurance and regulatory compliance activities during a period of increased product launches and heightened regulatory scrutiny. The ideal candidate will have experience managing quality systems, regulatory documentation, and compliance processes to help maintain high product standards and meet tight deadlines.

Employment Details:

  • Type: Freelance/Contract
  • Duration: Approximately 3-4 months
  • Schedule: Approximately 24 hours per week, spread over 3 days onsite
  • Location: Onsite at company headquarters
  • Start Date: Immediate availability preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track product retain samples, ensuring proper storage and disposal protocols are followed.
  • Coordinate preparation and submission of samples for testing and claims substantiation.
  • Request, review, and maintain Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for various products.
  • Create, upload, and maintain product specifications for new product launches.
  • Oversee specification templates and coordinate review processes with co-manufacturers.
  • Support label review processes and assist with regulatory documentation requirements.
  • Assist with audit preparation, documentation management, and ongoing record-keeping activities.
  • Provide support on continuous quality improvement projects and general administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in quality assurance and regulatory compliance within consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or related industries.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in document control systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with FDA, FTC, or other relevant regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
