Job description

Onsite in Orange County, CA

About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and visionary Resortwear Designer to join our Southern California design team. This role is ideal for a designer who embodies effortless style and understands the intersection of luxury, comfort, and travel. You’ll design collections that capture the spirit of coastal living—balancing elevated silhouettes, natural textures, and a relaxed sophistication that transitions seamlessly from beach to city.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop seasonal resortwear collections, including dresses, swim cover-ups, separates, and soft tailoring that reflect the brand’s aesthetic and lifestyle.
• Research trends, color stories, fabrics, and prints relevant to resort and travel-ready markets.
• Create detailed sketches, CADs, and tech packs for sampling and production.
• Collaborate closely with Product Development, Production, and Merchandising to ensure alignment across design, cost, and delivery timelines.
• Source sustainable and high-quality materials suited to warm-weather wear and resort environments.
• Work with patternmakers and sample rooms to refine fit, drape, and construction details.
• Present seasonal concepts, mood boards, and collection lineups to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and evolving resortwear trends to keep the brand fresh and aspirational.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing women’s contemporary or resortwear apparel.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, construction, and print development specific to lightweight and breathable materials.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.
• Excellent eye for color, proportion, and trend forecasting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a detail-oriented, proactive mindset.
• Deep appreciation for coastal, travel, and wellness-inspired aesthetics.
