We are seeking a freelance Search Analyst to join our SEO Marketing team. In this role, you’ll own the analytics and measurement strategy for organic search across core web properties, helping maximize visibility and performance in both traditional search and emerging GenAI discovery environments.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics & Reporting
- Own end-to-end SEO measurement for primary websites and associated digital properties.
- Build, refine, and QA dashboards in tools such as Power BI, Adobe Analytics, and Google Search Console to track rankings, visibility, traffic, and engagement.
- Monitor performance shifts, diagnose drivers, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to grow the organic channel.
- Support recurring reporting needs (e.g., monthly performance reports) and pre-funnel traffic analysis for organic search.
- Use Adobe Analytics to analyze on-site user behavior and inform SEO and content optimizations in partnership with UX teams.
- Ensure accurate tagging, tracking, and data integrity for SEO across Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and related platforms.
Valuation & Business Impact
- Co-develop and maintain an SEO valuation model that connects SEO performance to business value and revenue impact.
- Own a valuation framework that helps prioritize the SEO backlog and guide trade-off decisions across initiatives.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to evaluate the impact of SEO initiatives and experiments on traffic, conversions, and customer outcomes.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate closely with Paid Media, Media Economics, and Web Analytics teams to integrate SEO into broader marketing strategies and measurement frameworks.
- Translate complex SEO and analytics findings into clear narratives and recommendations for stakeholders at varying levels of technical expertise.
- Contribute to test-and-learn roadmaps, ensuring experiments are rigorously designed, measured, and communicated.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in SEO analytics, digital analytics, or related roles, with a strong focus on organic search.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Analytics (or similar enterprise analytics platforms) and Google Search Console.
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards in Power BI (or comparable BI tools).
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, content SEO, and how search engines evaluate and rank content.
- Proven ability to connect SEO metrics (rankings, impressions, clicks, CTR, etc.) to downstream business KPIs.
- Comfort working with large datasets; familiarity with Excel/Sheets and basic SQL is a plus.
