Overview:
A fast-growing consumer skincare brand is seeking a Senior Designer, Packaging & Visual Merchandising to define how the brand shows up on shelf and in-store across global markets. You’ll translate brand strategy into distinctive packaging and retail experiences that drive recognition and conversion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design 2D retail graphics: endcaps, trays, signage, PDQs, gondolas, windows, and seasonal campaigns.
- Translate brand and campaign concepts into retailer-ready assets that meet partner specs.
- Collaborate with 3D, VM, and industrial design to align graphics with fixtures and environments.
- Develop scalable retail visual systems, toolkits, and guidelines for multiple regions and partners.
- Create planograms, annotated layouts, mockups, and presentations for internal and retailer reviews.
- Prepare production-ready files; review proofs and installations for quality and brand consistency.
- Lead design for primary and secondary packaging across launches, extensions, and collaborations.
- Own mechanicals: dielines, layouts, finishes, materials, and color specifications.
- Ensure consistency in typography, iconography, layout, and regulatory information across SKUs.
- Incorporate sustainability, materials, and cost considerations into design decisions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in visual merchandising, packaging, and/or print design, ideally in beauty or CPG.
- Portfolio demonstrating packaging, retail displays, and large-format work from concept to production.
- Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of in-store environments, shopper journeys, and retail storytelling.
- Hands-on experience with planograms, retailer specs, dielines, and precise production files.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, owning projects end-to-end.
- Familiarity with packaging materials, print processes, and vendor handoff best practices.
