Job description

Freelance Content Creator – Full-Time Contract

Our client is hiring a Freelance Content Creator to join a small, fast-moving in-house creative team producing social content for several well-known U.S. consumer brands. This is a full-time contract role (40 hours/week) running October 1 – November 29, 2025, with potential to extend.

You’ll help concept, shoot, and edit organic social content (Meta and TikTok) during a busy Q4 push. The work is heavily focused on product-driven with some on-camera/team content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Concept, shoot, and edit organic social content for Meta and TikTok — focusing primarily on product shots with some team/on-camera pieces.
  • Capture stories at key October events and help develop content for December campaigns while prospecting ideas for January.
  • Participate in daily “newsroom” trend meetings to pitch and shape culturally relevant content.
  • Turn approved concepts into finished assets quickly using iPhone 16 Pro or similar equipment (must provide your own gear).
  • Build and deliver a wide range of social assets including short-form video, static images, motion graphics, and simple animated GIFs.
  • Maintain an organized file structure and collaborate with copywriters, designers, and the Associate Creative Director to meet deadlines.
  • Attend pitch sessions when possible to present your ideas to stakeholders.
  • Be flexible and willing to travel for occasional shoots if needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on social content creation experience with a strong portfolio of product-focused and social-native creative.
  • Proficiency in Canva and CapCut (Adobe Suite a plus).
  • Comfortable shooting and editing with mobile gear; able to deliver high-quality content quickly.
  • Willingness to appear on camera as needed (about half of content includes team members).
  • Strong grasp of TikTok and Meta best practices; ability to react quickly to trends and algorithm changes.
  • Organized, self-starter who thrives in a scrappy, fast-moving environment.
  • U.S.-based; Morristown, NJ area preferred for occasional in-person office shoots.
  • Must provide own equipment; flexibility to travel if needed.
