Job description

Job Title: Social Media & Content Manager

About the Role
We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Manager to lead social media from strategy through execution. This role blends creative direction, hands-on content creation, and community engagement—owning day-to-day channel performance while building a consistent, high-quality presence. You’ll plan content, capture and edit assets, publish across platforms, and use insights to continuously improve results.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage social strategy across key platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, X, Facebook), including channel goals, content themes, and testing plans.
  • Build and maintain a content calendar that balances planned campaigns with real-time opportunities.
  • Create social-first concepts and translate them into platform-native posts, short-form video, and story formats.
  • Write clear, on-brand captions and supporting copy aligned to a consistent voice and tone.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes and in-the-moment content during shoots, events, and day-to-day brand activity.
  • Edit photo and video content quickly (basic-to-intermediate editing) to meet publishing timelines.
  • Manage posting, scheduling, and daily channel operations, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Engage with the community via comments, DMs, and mentions in a thoughtful, brand-appropriate way.
  • Stay current on social platform changes, content trends, and cultural moments; recommend and execute timely ideas.
  • Track performance and report on key metrics (growth, reach, engagement, saves/shares, video performance), turning insights into next-step recommendations.
  • Support creator/influencer and gifting efforts as needed: research, outreach lists, coordination, content tracking, and amplification of approved UGC.
  • Coordinate content days and shoots: briefs, shot lists, timelines, talent/vendor communication, and on-set support.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5+ years of social media experience for a consumer brand (fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and engage an audience through strong creative and consistent execution.
  • Strong knowledge of Instagram and TikTok (formats, performance drivers, trends, and best practices); familiarity with Pinterest/X/Facebook is a plus.
  • Comfortable shooting content (including self-shot), and willing to appear on camera when needed.
  • Solid editing skills for short-form video and basic photo editing, with fast turnaround capability.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills (deadlines, calendars, details, follow-through).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Interest in sports and culture (or another fast-moving cultural space) with the ability to translate timely moments into relevant content.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with creator partnerships, gifting programs, and UGC workflows.
  • Experience supporting product launches, limited drops, or conversion-oriented social content.
  • Background working with athletes, leagues, teams, or sports-adjacent communities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
