Senior Account Executive – Missy Private Label Apparel

A leading company in the women’s fashion and apparel industry is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive and grow its private label business across sweaters, knits, dresses, and wovens. This role is ideal for a commercially minded sales leader with deep relationships in the women’s specialty and mass retail space and a strong background in trend-right, value-driven product.
Key Responsibilities
- Help Manage and grow key private label accounts for women’s RTW at Macys and/or TJMAXX
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets across designated retailers and channels.
- Partner closely with design, merchandising, and production teams to build compelling, brand-right assortments tailored to each retail partner.
- Lead line presentations and seasonal strategy meetings with buyers, merchants, and planning teams, effectively positioning product and driving commitments.
- Continuously analyze sales, profitability, and inventory performance; leverage data to recommend assortments, reorders, and in-season adjustments.
- Identify new opportunities and categories within existing accounts, and prospect selectively for new business aligned with company capabilities.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and programs that support both retailer relationships and company profitability.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and consumer insights to inform product strategy and positioning.
- Collaborate with production and sourcing teams to align costing, delivery, and quality with retailer expectations.
- Provide timely, accurate sales forecasting and business reporting to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or Senior Account Executive in women’s apparel, with a strong focus on private label
- Demonstrated success managing and growing key retail accounts- specifically Macys and/or TJ Maxx
- Category experience in sweaters, knits, dresses, and wovens for women’s apparel highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of merchandising, line building, and retail math (IMU, margins, turn, sell-through, etc.).
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills; comfortable leading high-stakes buyer meetings.
- Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to translate performance metrics into actionable strategies.
- Highly collaborative, able to partner effectively with design, production, and leadership teams.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability for results.
