Job Title: Sr. Director, Channel Planner

Location: San Francisco, CA- Onsite
Duration: 6 month contract with potential to extend- 40 hours/weekly
Pay Rate: $60.00-$64.00/hr

Role Overview:
The Sr. Director, Channel Planner will translate brand strategy and media briefs into omnichannel media plans. Acting as the key link between the brand team and the centralized media organization, you’ll lead a team to deliver best-in-class channel planning. Embedded within the brand, your team will apply holistic media expertise to shape strategy, share best practices, and guide execution. As the channel mix and integrated planning expert, you’ll provide insights and learnings across the brand portfolio to drive efficiency and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead omnichannel media planning and execution, translating brand priorities into actionable strategies while leveraging expertise in effectiveness and trends.

  • Serve as key liaison between brand and Media Shared Services, turning brand briefs into media plans for agency briefing.

  • Build deep knowledge of brand goals, business, and consumers to ensure alignment of media strategies.

  • Define proxy metrics and holistic KPIs incorporating business, marketing, and financial objectives.

  • Recommend media mix and outlets against brand goals, optimizing spend within budget guidelines.

  • Advise agency planners to ensure detailed media plans align with overall mix and recommendations.

  • Act as main contact with Channel Activation, integrating channel input and communicating new offerings or value-adds.

  • Approve optimizations and tactical shifts with a holistic view of campaign performance.

  • Partner with Measurement and Interpretation to set clear goals, assess effectiveness, and apply learnings to future campaigns.

Who You Are:

  • 10+ years marketing experience with 7+ years experience planning and executing omnichannel full funnel media
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams, with a proven track record of collaborative leadership, coalition building, and driving unity among disparate teams
  • Extensive experience translating brand strategy into executable and scalable full-funnel media approaches
  • Deep knowledge of media channels, full-funnel media strategy & activation, and current industry trends
  • Experience partnering with Marketing leadership to directly influence outcomes in a matrixed environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and drive consensus across multiple teams and functions
