Job Title: Sr. Technical Project Manager- Logistics
Location: San Francisco, CA- onsite schedule
Duration: 6-12 month contract with potential to extend- 40 hours/weekly
Pay Rate: $70.00-$75.00/hr
We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives within the Logistics domain, including warehouse management platform rollouts, DC operations improvements, final mile and transportation projects, and returns. This role focuses on delivering logistics technology projects using established project management tools and methodologies aligned with both company and vendor SDLC processes.
Responsibilities:
• Drive cross-functional projects with vendors using standard lifecycle management methods and aligned flight plans.
• Provide clear project updates, outline risks and owners, and communicate leadership needs to stay on track.
• Maintain and monitor detailed, realistic schedules for all internal and external partners; escalate when needed.
• Leverage tools like JIRA and Rally to manage complex projects—defining scope, planning execution, removing blockers, and engaging the right teams to resolve issues.
• Lead discussions with business users and product owners to refine Supply Chain and Logistics requirements.
• Identify and resolve MOD design gaps and specification issues promptly.
• Oversee WMOS integrations with upstream systems (Sterling OMS/IMS, RMS) and downstream systems (ProShip, 3PL providers).
• Manage development and QA of microservices-based interfaces for all integration points.
• Oversee messaging, error logging, and performance monitoring using AppDynamics.
• Lead development and QA of transactional and analytical reports via platforms like Snowflake and Power BI.
• Own project budgets—handle forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, ROI tracking, and financial reporting.
• Monitor quality control, implement corrective actions, and maintain project standards and communication plans.
• Anticipate interdependencies and coordinate efforts across related projects.
• Partner with vendors to analyze solutions and negotiate resolutions impacting project delivery.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience
10+ years in Project/Program Management
8+ years in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Retail
Strong technical knowledge of Logistics IT systems and architecture
Experienced collaborating with developers to deliver technical milestones
Proven track record managing Retail or Logistics projects
Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., Manhattan)
Experienced in project estimating, budgeting, story development, and defect tracking
Skilled in multi-platform system integration
Able to analyze data, derive insights, and communicate status to all leadership levels
Proficient with project management tools (Jira, Rally) for SDLC
