Videographer / Video Editor
Overview:
A leading cosmetics and beauty brand is seeking a motivated Videographer / Video Editor to support a fast-paced creative team producing high-quality content across multiple digital and social platforms. This is a hands-on post-production role ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about beauty, fashion, and culture-driven content.
What You’ll Do:
- Support senior editors and creative leadership in shaping video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, brand films, sizzle reels, and case studies.
- Import, transcode, sync, and organize raw footage and assets within established post-production workflows.
- Build rough cuts, string-outs, and assemblies based on creative briefs or scripts, maintaining clear timelines and labeling systems.
- Assist with light color correction, audio leveling, and basic motion graphics under guidance from senior editors.
- Maintain meticulous project organization and manage storage workflows across shared drives and cloud platforms.
- Export, encode, and deliver final videos in multiple aspect ratios and codecs optimized for social and digital platforms.
- Manage revisions, version control, and deliveries based on specs and stakeholder feedback.
- Collaborate closely with creative, marketing, and production teams to ensure alignment with brand standards and visual identity.
- Troubleshoot common post-production issues and assist with software and hardware setup as needed.
- Stay current on platform requirements, emerging editing tools, and best practices for engaging social content.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on video editing or post-production experience (internships and freelance work welcome).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve.
- Experience working with ARRI, RED, Canon, and/or Phantom footage workflows.
- On-set DIT experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of video codecs, post-production terminology, and editing workflows.
- Exceptional organization and project/file management skills.
- Collaborative mindset with eagerness to learn, take feedback, and grow.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for social media, culture, and highly engaging content.
Industry & Domain Experience:
- Experience editing videos for packaged consumer goods, ideally within the beauty industry.
- Strong creative sensibility with awareness of cosmetics, beauty, and fashion marketing trends.
