Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic, client-focused Account Director to lead integrated communications programs across a portfolio of client accounts. In this remote role, you will cultivate senior client relationships, guide high-quality marketing and communications work, manage account performance, and uncover opportunities for sustainable growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a senior day-to-day client partner, translating business priorities into clear communications and marketing strategies.
  • Lead strategic planning, campaign development, and cross-channel execution across digital, social, content, paid media, print, and experiential initiatives.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain project scopes, workplans, timelines, budgets, forecasts, and profitability targets.
  • Partner with creative, media, strategy, analytics, and production teams to deliver insight-driven solutions.
  • Facilitate client meetings, present strategic recommendations, and communicate progress, risks, and opportunities clearly.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through proactive recommendations and value-added services.
  • Support business-development efforts, including research, pitch strategy, proposal development, and presentations.
  • Stay informed on communications trends, audience behavior, emerging platforms, and industry best practices.
  • Mentor junior account team members and help establish efficient, collaborative working processes.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5–7 years of agency, marketing, communications, or client-services experience.
  • At least 3 years of team leadership, account leadership, or people-management experience.
  • Experience managing integrated marketing and communications programs across digital and traditional channels.
  • Strong financial and operational discipline, including budget management, forecasting, scope management, and resource planning.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and client-facing communication skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with sound judgment and close attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, shifting deadlines, and evolving client needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship-building, project-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity, a commitment to continuous learning, and a high standard for creative and strategic work.
