Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic, client-focused Account Director to lead integrated communications programs across a portfolio of client accounts. In this remote role, you will cultivate senior client relationships, guide high-quality marketing and communications work, manage account performance, and uncover opportunities for sustainable growth.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a senior day-to-day client partner, translating business priorities into clear communications and marketing strategies.
- Lead strategic planning, campaign development, and cross-channel execution across digital, social, content, paid media, print, and experiential initiatives.
- Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain project scopes, workplans, timelines, budgets, forecasts, and profitability targets.
- Partner with creative, media, strategy, analytics, and production teams to deliver insight-driven solutions.
- Facilitate client meetings, present strategic recommendations, and communicate progress, risks, and opportunities clearly.
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through proactive recommendations and value-added services.
- Support business-development efforts, including research, pitch strategy, proposal development, and presentations.
- Stay informed on communications trends, audience behavior, emerging platforms, and industry best practices.
- Mentor junior account team members and help establish efficient, collaborative working processes.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5–7 years of agency, marketing, communications, or client-services experience.
- At least 3 years of team leadership, account leadership, or people-management experience.
- Experience managing integrated marketing and communications programs across digital and traditional channels.
- Strong financial and operational discipline, including budget management, forecasting, scope management, and resource planning.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and client-facing communication skills.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with sound judgment and close attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, shifting deadlines, and evolving client needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building, project-management, and problem-solving skills.
