Loss Prevention Operations Coordinator (3446-1)

Employment Type: Freelance
Assignment Dates: August 6, 2026 – February 5, 2027
Location: Pittsburgh, PA — Hybrid schedule (remote Monday and Friday; onsite Tuesday through Thursday)

Position Overview

A leading retail organization is seeking a detail-oriented LP Operations Coordinator to support the operational delivery of loss prevention programs, physical-security systems, and service initiatives. This role partners with internal teams, field stakeholders, and external service providers to help ensure stores receive timely, dependable support for security solutions and shrink-reduction efforts.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, customer focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. You will support reporting, project coordination, communications, documentation, service tracking, and process-improvement efforts across a broad range of loss prevention operations.

Key Responsibilities
Loss Prevention Operations & Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with loss prevention vendors and service providers to monitor service tickets, support requests, project components, deliveries, and installations.
  • Partner with Technology, Facilities, Operations, and other internal teams to track service, repair, installation, and project-completion activities.
  • Communicate store-facing changes, project expectations, and completion requirements clearly and on schedule.
  • Support planning and execution for cameras, alarms, EAS, merchandise-protection equipment, and related loss prevention systems.
  • Assist with shrink-mitigation programs, awareness initiatives, and continuous-improvement efforts.
  • Create and distribute training materials for program users and operational stakeholders.
  • Maintain assigned loss prevention SharePoint content and knowledge resources.
  • Manage deliverables and workload through project-management tools.

Reporting, Analysis & Communication

  • Develop and maintain reporting tools that improve service levels, communication, and first-time resolution for store partners.
  • Use Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, Salesforce, and related tools to support reporting and operational processes.
  • Analyze vendor and system-performance data to identify trends by location, vendor, system type, failure category, and root cause.
  • Recommend proactive process improvements and resolution strategies for recurring issues.
  • Produce recurring reports identifying aging, unresolved, or escalated work orders.
  • Support alarm-permit and false-alarm activities, including renewals, invoices, fines, compliance tracking, and payment coordination.
  • Contribute to ad hoc reporting, issue resolution, and special projects.

New Location & Remodel Support

  • Collect alarm-system information needed to establish new-location and pre-opening accounts.
  • Support key and core planning for new locations, including order approvals and confirmations.
  • Review and coordinate approval workflows for loss prevention system drawings.
  • Maintain accurate as-built design documentation in the online store-design library.

Qualifications
Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in loss prevention, customer service, technical service desk, retail operations, or a related field.
  • At least one year of project coordination, project oversight, or comparable operational-support experience.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and customer-service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to respond promptly and effectively to field personnel and business-partner requests.

Preferred

  • Experience using Power BI, Alteryx, Salesforce, or comparable reporting and workflow platforms.
  • Knowledge of physical-security systems, including alarms, EAS, cameras, and related service tools.
  • Familiarity with retail loss prevention practices, protection strategies, shrink mitigation, and theft-related issues.
  • Understanding of retail policies, store operations, service-provider management, and field support processes.

Key Relationships

This position collaborates with loss prevention leadership, regional and distribution-center teams, Technology, Facilities, Store and Field Operations, Store Services, district and store leaders, and external security solution providers.
