Position Overview
A leading retail organization is seeking a detail-oriented LP Operations Coordinator to support the operational delivery of loss prevention programs, physical-security systems, and service initiatives. This role partners with internal teams, field stakeholders, and external service providers to help ensure stores receive timely, dependable support for security solutions and shrink-reduction efforts.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, customer focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. You will support reporting, project coordination, communications, documentation, service tracking, and process-improvement efforts across a broad range of loss prevention operations.
Key Responsibilities
Loss Prevention Operations & Project Coordination
- Coordinate with loss prevention vendors and service providers to monitor service tickets, support requests, project components, deliveries, and installations.
- Partner with Technology, Facilities, Operations, and other internal teams to track service, repair, installation, and project-completion activities.
- Communicate store-facing changes, project expectations, and completion requirements clearly and on schedule.
- Support planning and execution for cameras, alarms, EAS, merchandise-protection equipment, and related loss prevention systems.
- Assist with shrink-mitigation programs, awareness initiatives, and continuous-improvement efforts.
- Create and distribute training materials for program users and operational stakeholders.
- Maintain assigned loss prevention SharePoint content and knowledge resources.
- Manage deliverables and workload through project-management tools.
Reporting, Analysis & Communication
- Develop and maintain reporting tools that improve service levels, communication, and first-time resolution for store partners.
- Use Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, Salesforce, and related tools to support reporting and operational processes.
- Analyze vendor and system-performance data to identify trends by location, vendor, system type, failure category, and root cause.
- Recommend proactive process improvements and resolution strategies for recurring issues.
- Produce recurring reports identifying aging, unresolved, or escalated work orders.
- Support alarm-permit and false-alarm activities, including renewals, invoices, fines, compliance tracking, and payment coordination.
- Contribute to ad hoc reporting, issue resolution, and special projects.
New Location & Remodel Support
- Collect alarm-system information needed to establish new-location and pre-opening accounts.
- Support key and core planning for new locations, including order approvals and confirmations.
- Review and coordinate approval workflows for loss prevention system drawings.
- Maintain accurate as-built design documentation in the online store-design library.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Two or more years of experience in loss prevention, customer service, technical service desk, retail operations, or a related field.
- At least one year of project coordination, project oversight, or comparable operational-support experience.
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and customer-service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to respond promptly and effectively to field personnel and business-partner requests.
Preferred
- Experience using Power BI, Alteryx, Salesforce, or comparable reporting and workflow platforms.
- Knowledge of physical-security systems, including alarms, EAS, cameras, and related service tools.
- Familiarity with retail loss prevention practices, protection strategies, shrink mitigation, and theft-related issues.
- Understanding of retail policies, store operations, service-provider management, and field support processes.
