Media Supervisor

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Media Supervisor to lead media planning efforts, support high-impact client work, and mentor junior team members. This freelance role is ideal for a media professional who brings strong analytical thinking, leadership ability, and hands-on planning experience across multiple channels.
Position Overview
As Media Supervisor, you will help shape media strategies that align with client goals, oversee executional excellence, and contribute to a strong team culture. You will work cross-functionally with internal specialists, external partners, and client stakeholders to deliver effective media recommendations and campaign outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Media Leadership
- Translate business objectives into clear media strategies and actionable tactical plans.
- Lead planning development using research, audience insights, market intelligence, and performance data.
- Support the creation of client-facing media briefs, presentations, and strategic recommendations.
- Identify relevant media trends and emerging opportunities to strengthen campaign performance.
- Evaluate proposals, support partner negotiations, and oversee planning accuracy across systems and documentation.
Team Supervision & Development
- Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and support for junior team members.
- Delegate assignments effectively while encouraging professional development and accountability.
- Help create a positive, collaborative team environment focused on growth and strong performance.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding efforts for entry-level or junior staff when needed.
Performance Reporting & Optimization
- Monitor campaign activity and contribute to performance analysis across digital and traditional media channels.
- Deliver reporting insights and optimization recommendations based on campaign results.
- Partner with activation and analytics teams to ensure learnings are applied to future planning.
Client & Account Management
- Serve as a reliable day-to-day contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Lead status calls, manage communication flow, and proactively address issues or opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure campaign deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in media planning, business solutions, account strategy, or related advertising functions.
- Experience working across multiple media channels with a solid understanding of campaign planning principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and convert findings into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, collaborate cross-functionally, and mentor junior talent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and common media planning, research, and reporting platforms.
