Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Apparel Designer to join a collaborative team focused on developing seasonal product lines. This individual will work cross-functionally with design, merchandising, and other internal partners to bring concepts to life from initial development through production. The ideal candidate has a strong design aesthetic, excellent organizational skills, and experience working in a fast-paced apparel environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of seasonal apparel collections.
- Research trends in style, color, and silhouette to inform product direction.
- Create design sketches and technical flats for styles in development.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, graphics, and production.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining tech packs and other product development documentation.
- Participate in fittings, sample reviews, and design revisions as needed.
- Communicate updates, feedback, and approvals throughout the product development process.
- Assist with presentations, line reviews, and key milestone meetings.
- Contribute to special projects and seasonal initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Several years of experience in apparel design.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to create technical sketches and support product development documentation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and understanding of market trends.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
