Our client seeking a creative and detail-oriented Associate Video Editor to support the production of compelling video content that brings our mission, technology, and vision to life. In this freelance role, you will help shape raw footage, motion assets, sound, and graphics into polished videos for digital, marketing, social, and brand storytelling initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a strong visual sense, solid technical editing skills, and an instinct for pacing, tone, and narrative clarity. You should be comfortable working across a variety of formats, collaborating with creative stakeholders, and delivering high-quality edits on deadline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit short-form and long-form video content for marketing, brand, web, and social channels.
- Assemble raw footage, b-roll, audio, music, graphics, and motion elements into cohesive final cuts.
- Collaborate with producers, designers, and stakeholders to execute creative direction and feedback.
- Refine pacing, transitions, color balance, and audio levels to ensure professional-quality output.
- Prepare deliverables in multiple aspect ratios and formats optimized for different platforms.
- Maintain organized project files, version control, and asset libraries.
- Support quick-turn edits, promotional clips, and internal revisions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in video editing through freelance, agency, in-house, or personal portfolio work.
- Proficiency with industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Understanding of storytelling, shot selection, rhythm, sound design, and visual continuity.
- Ability to incorporate brand guidelines, graphics, captions, and motion elements effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to receive and apply feedback constructively.
- Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines in a freelance environment.
- Interest in science, innovation, aerospace, or technical storytelling is a plus.
Preferred:
- Experience editing mission-driven, technology, documentary, or product-focused content.
- Basic color correction, audio cleanup, and motion graphics support skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining consistency with creative objectives.
