ASSOCIATE DESIGNER (Denim)
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an Associate Denim Designer to support the development of seasonal denim collections from concept through production. This role is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented designer with a strong foundation in denim, a sharp eye for emerging trends, and the technical expertise needed to bring market-relevant product to life.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in designing denim styles that align with seasonal direction and brand aesthetic
- Research trends in washes, silhouettes, finishes, fabrics, and denim innovation
- Create mood boards, sketches, CADs, and concept presentations to support seasonal development
- Develop and maintain accurate tech packs for assigned styles
- Revise product details based on fit sessions, development updates, and team feedback
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Development and Technical Design throughout the sampling and fitting process
- Support fabric, trim, and wash development follow-up
- Review lab dips, strike-offs, and samples to ensure development timelines are met
- Attend fit sessions and vendor meetings as needed
- Help troubleshoot issues related to garment construction, fit, and wash execution
- Stay current on denim trends, sustainability initiatives, and industry techniques
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
- 3–5 years of fashion design experience, preferably focused on denim or bottoms
- Strong understanding of denim construction, fit development, and wash processes
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Portfolio showcasing both creative and technical design capabilities
