Overview
We are seeking a Business Data Analyst to support digital product and artificial intelligence initiatives within the financial technology industry. This consultant will help define meaningful business and product metrics, develop reporting solutions, evaluate experiments, and deliver actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to define, document, and refine metrics, KPIs, and reporting logic.
- Develop and enhance dashboards, recurring reports, and self-service analytics tools for product performance and customer experience initiatives.
- Design and analyze experiments, including hypotheses, measurement plans, test structures, results, and recommendations.
- Perform ad hoc analyses and deep dives to answer business questions, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate data discrepancies, validate reporting outputs, and partner with stakeholders to resolve measurement issues.
- Gather, prioritize, and translate analytics requirements into clear, scalable reporting and analytical deliverables.
- Maintain documentation for metric definitions, reporting processes, data sources, and experimentation methodologies.
- Present findings through concise, compelling data stories tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
- Strong SQL skills and experience querying, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining dashboards using business intelligence tools.
- Working knowledge of experimentation and A/B testing, including hypothesis development, success metrics, and statistical analysis.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and practical recommendations.
- Experience gathering requirements, managing stakeholder expectations, and prioritizing multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen, analytical judgment, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and data storytelling skills.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.
