Buyer, Women’s RTW
We are seeking a Buyer, Women’s RTW for a freelance opportunity with a well-known fashion company. This role will focus primarily on Women’s Ready-to-Wear including Swim and Intimates. The ideal candidate brings a strong eye for trend, business acumen, and experience driving assortments that align with brand and customer needs.
This is a hybrid opportunity based in the OC area, 3days onsite 2 days work from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage buying activities for Women’s RTW while partnering across Swim, Intimates, and related apparel categories
- Build assortments that balance trend, customer demand, and financial goals
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to inform buying strategy
- Partner closely with merchandising, planning, and cross-functional teams to drive category performance
- Identify opportunities within assortment architecture, pricing, and product mix
- Support seasonal market appointments, vendor relationships, and product selection decisions
Qualifications:
- Experience in buying, preferably within Women’s RTW
- Exposure to or experience working with Swim, Intimates, and apparel categories is highly preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable assortment decisions
- Excellent taste level, trend awareness, and understanding of the contemporary fashion customer
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Freelance assignment expected to last up to 6 months
