Overview
Our client, a leading organization in the consumer financial services space, is seeking a VP, Client Development to drive growth of its eCommerce Solutions program. This role is focused on acquiring and activating digital merchants, building strategic partnerships, and scaling a high-impact sales channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and close new eCommerce merchant opportunities
- Pitch a suite of digital commerce solutions to small and mid-sized online businesses
- Re-engage and convert stalled or partial leads within the sales funnel
- Develop and manage relationships with distribution partners (e.g., agencies, platforms) to drive scalable growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and marketing teams to refine go-to-market strategies
- Track performance against sales goals and continuously optimize approach
- Share market feedback and competitive insights to inform product evolution
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven ability to sell and close new business
- Experience in eCommerce and/or digital retail environments
- 5–7+ years in sales, client development, or account management
- Background supporting consumer finance, retail, or private label credit programs is highly preferred
