An established organization in the retail industry is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Privacy Project Analyst for a freelance engagement. This role will support privacy operations, data protection processes, and compliance-related projects across a large global business environment. Key Responsibilities
- Support privacy and data protection compliance activities across international business operations.
- Manage shared privacy mailboxes, monitor incoming requests, and ensure timely routing and responses.
- Coordinate the intake and processing of global data subject requests, including access and deletion-related inquiries.
- Communicate with requestors and partner with internal teams to gather documentation and resolve request-related issues.
- Review records for completeness, redact sensitive content where appropriate, and prepare materials for final delivery.
- Track request activity, maintain accurate records in internal systems, and monitor deadlines for timely compliance.
- Maintain and update procedures, templates, and internal knowledge resources.
- Collaborate with teams across legal, risk, human resources, customer support, and information security to support privacy initiatives and assessments.
- Attend meetings, document action items, monitor issue resolution, and provide project coordination support to the privacy function.
- Research privacy, compliance, and regulatory developments to support ongoing program needs.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in a legal administrative, compliance, or related support role.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with collaboration and document management tools such as SharePoint and Teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and critical thinking ability.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
