Job description

Digital Asset Manager Librarian (Potential Contract to Hire)

We are seeking an execution-focused Asset Librarian to support day-to-day asset library administration within a fast-paced creative and content environment. This freelance opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, precision, and process improvement, and who understands how to make digital assets easier to manage, find, and use across teams.

In this role, you will help maintain a high-functioning Digital Asset Management (DAM) ecosystem by overseeing asset intake, uploads, metadata accuracy, and library organization. You will play a key role in improving consistency, compliance, and discoverability so internal partners can quickly access the right content when they need it.

Location: Stamford, CT (hybrid)

Type: w2 contract, temp-perm, plus benefits

Hours: 40 per week

Rate: $35-40/hr

What You’ll Do

  • Manage individual and bulk uploads within the DAM platform while maintaining structured organization across catalogs and collections.
  • Apply, validate, and correct metadata to improve searchability, usage compliance, and asset accuracy.
  • Support content retrieval requests by locating approved assets, identifying correct versions, and delivering files through approved channels.
  • Perform high-volume cleanup and remediation work to improve library quality, consistency, and usability.
  • Maintain intake queues, track exceptions, document updates, and escalate missing information when needed.
  • Collaborate with creative, production, and operations partners to support strong asset management practices and efficient workflows.

What You Bring

  • 2–5+ years of experience in digital asset management, asset library administration, or creative/content operations.
  • Strong background in metadata management and high-volume asset workflows.
  • Experience working with DAM platforms; familiarity with Bynder is a plus.
  • Comfort with Excel/CSV workflows, digital file organization, and content operations processes.
  • Working knowledge of common creative file formats such as JPG, PNG, PSD, AI, MP4, and PDF.
  • A highly detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative approach with a strong commitment to accuracy and consistency.
