Employment Type: Freelance

Schedule: 20–30 hours per week

Location: Hybrid

Assignment Dates: September 7, 2026 – January 30, 2027

Position Overview

Our client in the beauty and retail industry is seeking a detail-oriented Digital Merchandising Specialist to support the execution of an engaging, easy-to-shop ecommerce experience. This role will help maintain and optimize online category presentation, ensuring products, promotions, and content are accurately displayed and aligned with customer needs and business objectives.

The Digital Merchandising Specialist will collaborate closely with merchandising, digital product, creative, and development partners to support site updates and improve discoverability, conversion, and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the execution of online merchandising strategies across ecommerce categories and product experiences.
  • Support product, category, and promotional updates within the content management system.
  • Help ensure online categories are organized, competitive, current, and easy for customers to navigate.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to support timely and accurate site launches and content changes.
  • Review digital content and merchandising placements for quality, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Contribute to initiatives that support sales, margin, conversion, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Track priorities, manage details, and communicate updates across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage details effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with a content management system (CMS) is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint is a plus.
