Job description

A boutique bridal company is looking for a Production Pattern Maker. We’re partnering with a luxury bridal fashion brand seeking a Production Pattern Maker to translate couture runway designs into production-ready Gerber patterns while maintaining exceptional fit, construction, and design integrity. This is a highly technical role focused on production patternmaking, not fashion design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, digitize, and maintain production-ready patterns in Gerber
  • Develop grading rules and maintain consistency across all size ranges
  • Translate drapes, runway samples, and existing patterns into production files
  • Lead fittings and execute pattern corrections with the Design team
  • Collaborate with cutting, sewing, and production teams throughout development
  • Guide seamstresses on construction methods and couture sewing techniques
  • Review garments during production to ensure fit, quality, and construction accuracy
  • Maintain Gerber files, markers, grading, and specification standards
  • Work with luxury fabrics including silk, lace, tulle, corsetry, and structured bridal garments
  • Help improve atelier systems and production workflows

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Production Pattern Making experience
  • Advanced expertise building production patterns in Gerber
  • Strong draping, grading, garment balance, and fit knowledge
  • Experience with luxury bridal, eveningwear, or corsetry construction
  • Couture-level understanding of garment construction and sewing techniques
  • Experience taking runway or editorial garments into production
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Spanish/English bilingual is a plus

Ideal Background:

Candidates from luxury bridal, eveningwear, couture, or high-end RTW brands with advanced Gerber Pattern Making experience are highly preferred. Experience collaborating with seamstresses, leading fittings, grading complex garments, and translating couture designs into production-ready patterns will set candidates up for success. Individuals with a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for luxury craftsmanship will thrive in this role.
