Job description

We’re looking for a skilled Denim Technical Designer to partner closely with Design, Product Development, and Patternmaking. In this role, you’ll translate creative concepts into accurate, production-ready technical packages across multiple categories.

The ideal candidate has strong pattern and garment-construction knowledge, is confident participating in fit sessions, and thrives in a fast-paced, fashion-forward environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Participate in fit sessions and capture detailed fit comments, measurements, and construction notes in real time.
  • Evaluate garment fit and balance on live models or forms, clearly communicating pattern and construction adjustments.
  • Update and maintain detailed tech packs, including measurements, construction details, BOMs, and specifications.
  • Partner with Patternmaking and Product Development to ensure pattern changes align with fit direction and brand standards.
  • Review prototypes and SMS samples for construction quality, stitch details, finishing, and consistency with approved specifications.
  • Communicate fit and construction updates clearly and accurately across internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot construction and pattern issues to improve fit, consistency, and cost efficiency.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Strong knowledge of patterns, including pattern shapes, grading, fit implications, and alterations.
  • Experience capturing and organizing fit comments and notes during fittings.
  • Solid denim garment-construction knowledge, including seams, finishes, and stitch types.
  • The ability to interpret design intent and translate it into clear technical direction.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight timelines.
  • Proficiency with industry tools such as Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems for tech pack updates.
  • Professional experience as a Technical Designer or in a related role; this is not an entry-level position, but does not require senior-level leadership experience.
