Graphic Designer

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid; Tuesday–Thursday in office)

Duration: 2–3 month freelance assignment 40 hours a week

Design Aesthetic & Portfolio Expectations

  • Strong ability to produce bold, clean, and minimal designs with a functional, uncluttered aesthetic
  • Experience working within a corporate, Swiss-style design system with strict brand constraints (limited color palette and typography)
  • Skilled in leveraging typography and modular layouts to create visually compelling work within defined guidelines
  • Ability to push and evolve a brand thoughtfully while maintaining consistency and structure
  • Portfolio should demonstrate type-forward, minimal design work and an ability to design effectively within constraints

We are looking for a freelance Graphic Designer to support a wide range of brand design needs during a busy seasonal period. This is a hybrid opportunity based in New York, with in-office collaboration Tuesday through Thursday.

This designer will help bring the brand to life across both digital and print channels, supporting internal requests as they arise and contributing to external and internal communications. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, strong design fundamentals, and experience working within established brand systems while also helping evolve and improve them.

What You’ll Work On

  • Design and reformat assets for digital ad campaigns, including multiple size and version variations
  • Create polished presentation materials in PowerPoint and Google Slides
  • Develop organic social content, including carousel-style assets
  • Produce editorial illustrations and graphics, such as collages and other visual storytelling elements
  • Design print collateral including flyers, signage, cards, brochures, and related materials
  • Work within existing brand templates and guidelines while helping refine and improve them over time
  • Respond to a variety of internal creative requests with strong execution and attention to detail

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong design fundamentals, including hierarchy, layout, typography, and composition
  • Exceptional attention to detail, especially within a minimal, refined brand aesthetic
  • Experience in brand design, including working within and building on established brand guidelines
  • Hands-on experience across both digital and print design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Comfort using Canva and a willingness to collaborate with non-designers using accessible template-based tools
  • Ability to take in and implement feedback professionally from multiple stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Motion design experience, including simple animation such as kinetic typography, tickers, or GIFs
