Home Textile Designer | Part-Time Contract
We are looking for a talented Home Textile Designer to join our team on a part-time contract basis. This role is ideal for a creative designer with strong surface-design skills and experience developing artwork for home products.
You will create original prints, patterns, textures, and visual assets while partnering with Product Design, Product Development, and Merchandising. The work includes everything from early concept development through production-ready artwork.
What You Will Do
- Create original artwork, prints, patterns, repeats, and product-specific surface designs.
- Develop colorways, placements, scale, recoloring, and color separations.
- Prepare organized, production-ready files with accurate layers, dimensions, and naming conventions.
- Edit photography and create packaging, presentations, and other digital assets.
- Translate seasonal direction and trend research into commercially relevant designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on CADs, tech packs, samples, revisions, and approvals.
- Support AI-assisted visual-content development, including packaging imagery and presentations.
What We Are Looking For
- Advanced Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills.
- Strong original-artwork, surface-design, and image-editing experience.
- Knowledge of repeats, color theory, color separation, scale, and placement.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- A collaborative, adaptable approach and comfort incorporating creative feedback.
Preferred Background
- Experience designing for home textiles or home products.
- Experience preparing artwork for development, sampling, and production.
- Experience with packaging and digital-asset creation.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools.
