Human Resources Generalist – Fashion

Client Overview: Our client is a luxury fashion brand known for its feminine designs, premium craftsmanship, and strong presence across both retail and ready-to-wear markets.
Role Overview: The HR Generalist will support U.S. corporate and retail teams, partnering closely with leadership to deliver core HR functions. This hands-on role focuses on employee relations, compliance, performance management, training, payroll coordination, and workplace health and safety. The position plays a key role in ensuring alignment with employment laws and fostering a productive, compliant, and engaging workplace.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Partner with HR leadership and management to execute HR strategy across compliance, performance management, training, and employee relations
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain up-to-date HR policies and practices
- Support performance management processes including goal setting, feedback, and development planning
- Manage employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and guide disciplinary actions where needed
- Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processes
- Assist with compensation reviews, market analysis, and total rewards initiatives
- Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
- Lead and track training programs, including onboarding and compliance training
- Promote and manage workplace health and safety programs, including workers’ compensation and OSHA compliance
- Partner cross-functionally on HR initiatives and special projects
HR Generalist Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience in retail or fashion industry preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/Payroll systems
- Spanish language skills preferred
