HR Generalist (Fashion)

Client Overview: Our client is a global luxury fashion brand.
Role Overview: The HR Generalist will provide day-to-day HR support for U.S. corporate and retail operations, working closely with the HR Manager and leadership team. This position will oversee a broad range of HR activities, including employee relations, compliance, performance management, training, payroll coordination, compensation support, onboarding, and workplace health and safety.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Support the HR Manager and U.S. leadership team with the execution of HR initiatives and day-to-day people operations.
- Ensure HR policies and practices remain aligned with federal, state, and local employment requirements.
- Monitor changes in employment legislation, workplace regulations, and HR best practices.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance management, employee development, feedback, and disciplinary matters.
- Address employee relations concerns and assist with investigations, documentation, and appropriate resolutions.
- Partner with management and HR leadership on sensitive employee matters and escalations.
- Support payroll activities and coordinate with payroll partners to ensure accurate and compliant processes.
- Assist with annual performance reviews, compensation reviews, and related HR processes.
- Support compensation analysis and contribute to competitive pay and incentive initiatives.
- Coordinate onboarding, induction, offboarding, and employee access requirements with relevant internal teams.
- Organize mandatory and compliance-related training programs and maintain employee training records.
- Communicate HR policies, procedures, and updates to employees and managers.
- Support workplace health and safety programs across corporate and retail locations.
- Coordinate workers’ compensation claims and track workplace injuries, hazards, and illnesses in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Promote adherence to workplace safety procedures and encourage a safe working environment.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to leadership to support employee retention.
- Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives led by HR leadership.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
HR Generalist Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR role.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws, HR compliance, and workplace regulations.
- Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, training, and HR operations.
- Experience in the fashion, retail, or consumer-facing industry is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and senior leadership.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and HR/payroll systems.
- Spanish-speaking ability required.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and a results-oriented approach.
