Location: Exeter, NY (Onsite 3+ days/week, with flexibility as needed)
Duration: Through 5/22/2026 (potential extension TBD)
Hours: 40 hrs/week (Mon–Fri, standard business hours)
Start: ASAP (target start 4/13)

Overview

A globally recognized lifestyle retail brand is seeking a Licensing Assistant to join its Accessories Merchandising team. This role sits within a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment supporting seasonal product creation across licensed accessories.

The Licensing Assistant will partner closely with the Category Manager and cross-functional teams spanning Product Development, Planning, Legal, Supply Chain, and external licensing partners to ensure seamless execution of seasonal line plans and product milestones.

This is a detail-driven, highly organized role ideal for someone who thrives in product coordination, sample management, and cross-functional merchandising support.


YOU WILL:

  • Maintain and update seasonal global line plans within PLM, ensuring accuracy across all product data and milestones
  • Support development tracking through key documentation including VLPs, costing sheets, and sample discrepancy reporting
  • Manage end-to-end sample coordination including tracking, organization, archiving, and seasonal merchandising lab upkeep
  • Prepare materials for milestone meetings, including physical product organization, presentation boards, and merchandising tools
  • Support packaging accuracy by validating product details, imagery, and copy for labels and line plans
  • Partner with regional merchandising, planning, operations, legal, finance, and marketing to action updates and resolve product-related issues
  • Process supply and sample orders while ensuring timely communication across internal and external stakeholders

YOU HAVE:

Must-Have:

  • 1–2+ years of experience in merchandising, licensing, product development support, or a related retail environment
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with product data systems (PLM experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience supporting sample management, line planning, or seasonal product workflows
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

Nice-to-Have:

  • Exposure to accessories, footwear, or apparel categories
  • Experience working with cross-functional global teams or licensing partners
  • Familiarity with merchandising milestone processes and product lifecycle workflows
