Position Overview
Our client in the retail industry is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Mailroom Processor to support daily mail and package operations. This onsite freelance opportunity is ideal for an organized, hands-on professional who can follow established procedures, work independently, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced operational environment.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 9:00 AM–2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, scan, process, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and shipments.
- Prepare shipping and package documentation, organize mail, and assemble packing materials for delivery or distribution.
- Use internal systems to complete package-processing, tracking, and routing activities accurately.
- Apply labels, complete detailed hand-processing tasks, and verify materials before distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe mail center and warehouse work area.
- Safely move boxes and packages in accordance with established handling and safety procedures.
- Support daily operational priorities and complete assigned tasks within expected timeframes.
Qualifications
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent, dependable work approach.
- Comfort working in a warehouse, distribution, mailroom, or similar operational setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift or move packages weighing approximately 25–50 pounds.
- Basic computer skills and comfort using systems for package processing and tracking.
- Positive attitude, strong organizational habits, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Training & Onboarding
During the first week, the Mailroom Processor will be introduced to mail center workflows, package-receiving procedures, sorting and labeling standards, computer-based processing tools, and workplace safety expectations.
