Product Development Manager

Leading apparel and lifestyle brand, is seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to lead product creation from concept through production. This role partners closely with Design, Fabric R&D, Production, Technical Design, Sourcing, and vendor partners to deliver high-quality, commercially viable products on schedule and within cost targets.

What You’ll Do

• Translate design direction into executable prototypes, with clear guidance on construction, materials, trims, and finishes.

• Manage seasonal development calendars, milestone tracking, prototype delivery, BOM accuracy, approvals, and product data integrity.

• Review samples for craftsmanship, accuracy, and adherence to specifications; resolve construction and fit issues with technical partners.

• Identify cost-conscious material or construction alternatives that preserve product quality and support margin goals.

• Partner with vendors on development timelines, materials, prototype expectations, and day-to-day execution.

• Proactively address supply-chain disruptions, development risks, and changing cost or material commitments.

• Collaborate across Design, Sourcing, Technical Design, Planning, and Merchandising to ensure aligned, timely execution.

• Coach junior developers and promote consistent processes, communication, and technical rigor.

What You Bring

• 5–7 years of product development or product creation experience in apparel or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of materials, trims, garment construction, and manufacturing processes.

• Experience translating design concepts into manufacturable products.

• Proficiency with PLM systems, BOM management, version control, and development data.

• Experience with cost engineering and identifying feasible construction alternatives.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Ability to independently manage large projects or seasonal development cycles while mentoring junior team members.

Hybrid Work Schedule- 3 days in office
Contract- 40 hours/week
