Job description

Overview

An emerging brand in the beauty space is looking for a contract Project Manager to help drive product development and packaging initiatives from early planning through final execution. This person will play a central role in organizing timelines, aligning cross-functional partners, and keeping multiple launch-related projects moving efficiently. The right candidate is comfortable balancing priorities, collaborating with outside partners, and maintaining momentum across a high-volume, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and monitor schedules for product and packaging initiatives, helping teams stay aligned to target launch dates.
  • Follow key deliverables, flag delays early, and support problem-solving when execution issues arise.
  • Partner with internal groups such as product development, brand creative, operations, and marketing to coordinate dependencies.
  • Maintain accurate project plans, trackers, and status communications across active programs.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for external packaging suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Monitor vendor commitments, gather needed updates, and ensure follow-through on outstanding items.
  • Assist with pricing inputs, supplier records, and related administrative support.
  • Manage requests for development samples and packaging prototypes.
  • Help coordinate product testing activities, including quote collection, shipment logistics, and required documentation.
  • Track testing milestones, compile feedback, and keep reports organized for team access.
  • Create and maintain orderly records for development and packaging-related workstreams.
  • Provide visibility into project health by documenting risks, open items, and recommended next actions.
  • Support issue resolution tied to packaging or product quality concerns.
  • Log problems, monitor corrective actions, and communicate progress with both external and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 3–6+ years of experience in product development project management, ideally within beauty, skincare, or consumer products.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience coordinating with packaging vendors and contract manufacturers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong documentation practices.
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects.
