Overview
An emerging brand in the beauty space is looking for a contract Project Manager to help drive product development and packaging initiatives from early planning through final execution. This person will play a central role in organizing timelines, aligning cross-functional partners, and keeping multiple launch-related projects moving efficiently. The right candidate is comfortable balancing priorities, collaborating with outside partners, and maintaining momentum across a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and monitor schedules for product and packaging initiatives, helping teams stay aligned to target launch dates.
- Follow key deliverables, flag delays early, and support problem-solving when execution issues arise.
- Partner with internal groups such as product development, brand creative, operations, and marketing to coordinate dependencies.
- Maintain accurate project plans, trackers, and status communications across active programs.
- Act as a primary point of contact for external packaging suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Monitor vendor commitments, gather needed updates, and ensure follow-through on outstanding items.
- Assist with pricing inputs, supplier records, and related administrative support.
- Manage requests for development samples and packaging prototypes.
- Help coordinate product testing activities, including quote collection, shipment logistics, and required documentation.
- Track testing milestones, compile feedback, and keep reports organized for team access.
- Create and maintain orderly records for development and packaging-related workstreams.
- Provide visibility into project health by documenting risks, open items, and recommended next actions.
- Support issue resolution tied to packaging or product quality concerns.
- Log problems, monitor corrective actions, and communicate progress with both external and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 3–6+ years of experience in product development project management, ideally within beauty, skincare, or consumer products.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience coordinating with packaging vendors and contract manufacturers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong documentation practices.
- Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects.
