Product Manager – Men’s
This person will lead the development and production process from initial handoff through final delivery, ensuring product quality, margin goals, calendar execution, and strong cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee product development and production across assigned categories from sample stage through bulk delivery.
- Drive timelines and approvals to keep development, pre-production, and production milestones on track.
- Partner closely with design, merchandising, technical design, and sourcing teams to support product execution and resolve issues quickly.
- Manage vendor communication to ensure progress, troubleshoot delays, and maintain on-time shipment expectations.
- Monitor purchase orders, style updates, delivery dates, and related documentation with a high level of accuracy.
- Support cost management initiatives through vendor negotiation, sourcing strategies, and margin improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate fabric and trim commitments, inventory exposure, and liability tracking.
- Help manage reorder activity, delivery flow changes, and any updates that impact cross-functional partners.
- Maintain visibility into development and production calendars by category and ensure deadlines are met.
- Contribute to product quality standards while balancing speed, cost, and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing apparel product development or production for a defined category.
- Strong background in men’s apparel, with experience in woven product, outerwear, and knits or active preferred.
- Knowledge of domestic and international sourcing and vendor management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Experience with costing, margin management, purchase orders, and production tracking.
- Comfortable handling shifting priorities, last-minute changes, and time-sensitive decision-making.
- Leadership capability and experience guiding teams or influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
