Project Manager, Visual Merchandising

The Project Manager, Visual Merchandising will lead end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of visual merchandising initiatives across retail channels and brand experiences. This role partners closely with sales, marketing, creative, operations, and merchandising teams to establish clear workflows, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality seasonal resets, promotional programs, and large-scale events.
With a broad view of department priorities, the Project Manager will identify process improvements, align cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure resources are positioned to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong project management discipline, exceptional communication skills, and experience managing complex retail or creative programs from concept through launch.
Responsibilities
- Assess team workload, priorities, and capacity to create practical processes and timelines that support on-time delivery.
- Develop and manage project plans, workbacks, meeting cadences, and approval workflows for seasonal resets and key initiatives.
- Partner with sales, visual merchandising, marketing, creative, supply chain, and operations teams to coordinate project requirements and execution.
- Lead the interconnected components of retail resets, including assortment planning, line reviews, planograms, visual merchandising materials, and operational readiness.
- Manage projects from kickoff through final delivery, monitoring milestones, identifying risks, and escalating issues as needed.
- Coordinate promotional initiatives, including in-store programs, retailer activations, pop-ups, and events, from initial concept through final release.
- Guide creative reviews and approvals, ensuring stakeholders remain aligned on scope, deliverables, timing, and brand standards.
- Improve processes to simplify workflows, strengthen communication, clarify ownership, and reduce operational complexity.
- Oversee large-scale, highly collaborative initiatives across global teams and markets.
- Maintain clear documentation, status updates, and reporting for project stakeholders and leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing visual merchandising, retail marketing, creative, experiential, or consumer products projects.
- Strong ability to manage multiple workstreams, competing priorities, and fast-paced deadlines.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and navigating complex approval processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans, timelines, and measurable deliverables.
- Comfort working independently in a freelance capacity while maintaining strong collaboration across teams.
