Sr Designer- Women’s Sleep & Lounge

Our client is seeking an experienced, highly creative Senior Designer to lead the design and development for a premium sleepwear and loungewear license. This high-impact role offers meaningful creative ownership and the opportunity to help shape and grow an emerging business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the seasonal design direction for sleepwear and loungewear collections.
  • Partner with the Head of Apparel & Sourcing to define product strategy, creative direction, and collection architecture.
  • Research trends, silhouettes, color, prints, graphics, fabrics, trims, and construction details while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Develop seasonal concepts, mood boards, color palettes, print direction, and cohesive product assortments.
  • Create detailed CADs, sketches, colorways, design presentations, prints, and graphics.
  • Design elevated sleepwear and lounge silhouettes with strong attention to fabrication, fit, construction, and finishing.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, production, technical design, sourcing, and overseas factories throughout development.
  • Select and develop fabrics, trims, washes, embellishments, prints, and special details aligned with the brand and target customer.
  • Review samples and provide clear, actionable design comments throughout the development process.
  • Prepare collections and presentations for internal reviews, licensor approvals, and customer meetings.
  • Ensure product meets brand, commercial, costing, and delivery requirements.
  • Manage multiple seasonal calendars, developments, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide design leadership and help establish a strong creative standard for the collection.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of women’s fashion design experience; sleepwear, loungewear, intimates, or related apparel experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong contemporary or designer-brand aesthetic and a well-developed fashion point of view.
  • Deep understanding of women’s silhouettes, fabrics, prints, color, garment construction, and fit.
  • Experience working with licensed or established fashion brands is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
  • Ability to create professional CADs, presentations, prints, graphics, and colorways.
  • Strong knowledge of overseas product development and factory collaboration.
  • Ability to balance elevated design with commercial viability, target pricing, and production requirements.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
