Job description

Sr. Director, Product & Integrated Marketing

Employment Type: Full-Time
3-4 Days ON SITE in NYC

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded Sr. Director of Product & Integrated Marketing to lead product marketing and go-to-market execution for a growing beauty business. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this leader will translate brand strategy into differentiated product stories, strong launch plans, and measurable commercial results.

This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who can move comfortably between product economics, competitive analysis, positioning, creative concepts, and integrated campaign execution. You will help shape the launch roadmap, build compelling business cases, and ensure every product introduction is ready to succeed across channels.

The ideal candidate brings a strong perspective on the evolving beauty landscape, combines analytical rigor with creative instincts, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and ownership are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product marketing strategy and integrated go-to-market planning for new product launches and key commercial initiatives.
  • Develop product positioning, messaging, naming frameworks, claims support, and consumer-facing narratives that clearly differentiate the portfolio.
  • Build launch business cases, including pricing strategy, cost considerations, market sizing, competitive analysis, and forecast inputs.
  • Create and manage integrated marketing calendars across digital, social, retail, PR, influencer, partnerships, CRM, and other relevant channels.
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Finance, Sales, Creative, Operations, and external partners to ensure launches are commercially viable and operationally ready.
  • Identify cultural trends, consumer insights, and whitespace opportunities that can strengthen product concepts and launch ideas.
  • Establish launch success metrics and lead post-launch analysis to identify performance drivers, learnings, and optimization opportunities.
  • Guide competitive intelligence efforts and translate findings into actionable product, positioning, and channel recommendations.
  • Manage and develop a Senior Manager of Product Marketing, setting clear priorities and supporting professional growth.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to refine launch roadmaps, portfolio priorities, and long-term growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in product marketing, brand marketing, integrated marketing, or go-to-market leadership within beauty, consumer products, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated success leading product launches from strategy through market execution.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience with pricing, product economics, forecasting, margin considerations, and competitive analysis.
  • Exceptional ability to turn consumer insight and brand strategy into clear product narratives and integrated campaigns.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex timelines across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong people-management skills with a thoughtful, collaborative leadership style.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Deep curiosity about consumer behavior, cultural trends, and the future of the beauty industry.

What Success Looks Like

  • Launches are strategically positioned, commercially sound, and executed seamlessly across channels.
  • Product stories are distinctive, culturally relevant, and compelling to customers and partners.
  • Cross-functional teams have clear priorities, timelines, and accountability throughout the launch process.
  • Launch performance insights meaningfully inform future product and marketing decisions.
