A leading eyewear company is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the design and development of eyewear collections from concept through production readiness. This role is ideal for a highly creative and technically strong designer who can translate design vision into scalable product systems, maintain exceptional quality standards, and help shape assortment strategy across optical and sun categories.
The Senior Product Designer will play a key role in evolving the product design function by building repeatable processes, refining technical documentation, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams including merchandising, planning, brand, and production. This person will balance taste, innovation, and operational discipline while helping bring thoughtfully designed products to market.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of seasonal eyewear collections across optical and sun categories from concept to production-ready execution
- Translate creative direction into commercially viable, technically sound product designs
- Drive silhouette development, material selection, color development, and construction detailing
- Create and refine CADs, technical drawings, tech packs, and other development documentation
- Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle including concepting, sampling, fit review, revisions, and final approvals preparation
- Partner directly with manufacturing teams to ensure execution aligns with design intent
- Identify design, engineering, and production risks early and propose practical solutions
- Establish and improve repeatable design systems, tools, and processes that support scale and consistency
- Maintain product quality standards related to fit, durability, construction, and aesthetics
- Manage design timelines and ensure adherence to key milestones and calendar deliverables
- Collaborate with planning and merchandising to align product direction with business goals and assortment needs
- Support trend research, competitive analysis, seasonal concept development, and innovation in materials and construction
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of eyewear design experience across both sun and optical categories
- Demonstrated success leading products from concept through production
- Strong technical expertise in eyewear construction, fit, and materials
- Advanced proficiency in CAD and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers and development partners
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
- Excellent design judgment and a high standard for executional quality
