Senior Technical Designer

Mon-Thurs Onsite in Oakland.

RESPONSIBILITIES• Work closely with founder and the senior designer to develop measurement specifications and fits for all product categories in accordance with the brand aesthetic
• Work closely with the production manager and planner to ensure the fit of every product meets the needs of the business
• Work closely with vendors and the production team to ensure patterns, measurement specs, and final fit of each style is executed to the standards of the brand
• Ability to understand, analyze, and correct patterns from vendors
• Communicate fit comments with vendors
• Strictly adhere to calendar deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in product design or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training with a focus on technical design and pattern making
• 7+ years or more of technical design and patternmaking experience at an in-house setting with deep expertise in woven bottoms and denim
• Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities
• Strong visual and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present fit intent to internal audiences
• Ability to execute technical sketches in 2D using Adobe Illustrator
• Knowledge and some experience with 3D and AI applications (CLO, basic AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity) a must, a plus if candidate has knowledge of AI tools for fashion design (The New Black)
• Proficient in Illustrator and Google Suite
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally if required
• Passion for the fashion industry and understanding of the landscape

• Ability to understand and translate high fashion, on-trend fits and silhouettes from a technical perspective
